Gazelle

One of the most recent and the most unique of equipment introduced in the fitness circles (particularly for the prospect of home gyms) is the Gazelle exercise machine. The Gazelle equipment got its real fame from the Tony Little Gazelle infomercial where Tony Little Gazelle sprintmaster had promoted the Gazelle Exercise Machine in the late hours of television coverage.

Claiming to provide a low-impact cardio-training as well as progressive resistance muscle-toning workout, the Gazelle edge lies in the difference of it from Bow flex, Total Gym and many other rod-pulley based metal weight alternative workout machines. The physical mechanism of the Gazelle fitness equipment is constituted of two foot platforms, which are suspended from a pair of swinging legs. While the legs could move back and forth, it is the presence of the pistons, which empower the practitioner at the moment to change the degree of resistance. That is the main difference in the analysis of Tony Little Gazelle versus Total Gym equipment. In addition to that, Tony Little’s Gazelle also provides the arms with arm levers, which gives the choice of alternating in between the course of swinging. As for the cost of the Gazelle Freestyle Elite, the price range is between the figures of four hundred dollars and five hundred dollars. There are more expensive models such as the Gazelle Edge Ultra, Evolution, Gazelle Freestyle Pro Elite and also the Super Trainer (which are all above the range of five hundred dollars). In the case of Gazelle Freestyle free shipping is an option, which is sometimes available, sometimes not available. These machines have a Soft Glide Technology, which was not introduced before. This technology enables the user to have a bounce in their step and ultimately becomes a major factor in the enhancement of the workout. These models are available for a trial period, which would also include an offering of two training videos, while the cost of this trial period would be just below fifteen dollars.

However there are some points of critical analysis when one measures the worth of the Gazelle Freestyle against its high price. Many fitness experts are of the opinion that the Gazelle sprintmaster is not a very effective piece of equipment in terms of providing a cardiovascular workout or strength training specially when compared to other cardiovascular machines. In the opinion of these fitness experts, a treadmill, a recumbent exercise bike and/ or an elliptical trainer are much better pieces of exercise equipment to perform a cardiovascular workout or to carry out any kind of strength training. Although these machines have a much higher range of price tags, yet the investment is worth every penny as not only do these pieces of exercise equipment provide a sound platform for a healthy and adequate workout but they also prove to be smart investments in terms of providing long-term benefits. As for the Tony Little’s Gazelle, one could not promise the same about this very piece of equipment no matter how low its price is as compared to the prices of the above-mentioned machines. Especially when it comes to performing a series of upper body movements, Tony’s Little Gazelle is not effective enough to provide the platform for a sound workout. In addition to that, the physical movements, which are executed on Tony Little’s Gazelle are of a very unnatural and awkward nature, the course of which contributes towards applying an unnecessary degree of pressure on the hips and that too after the passage of just a few minutes.

Considering these series of opinions and the description of the Gazelle exercise machine, it is up to the individual to decide between the options of buying it or opting out for another exercise machine.
